With parliament being the lawmaker in our society and the ultimate custodian of our justice system, I am writing to you in your capacity as a member of parliament, and drawing your attention to an unheard of breach of conduct regarding the rules of the Court.

A Brisbane based Supreme Court Judge has relied on and broken centuries of Westminster Doctrine by invoking old statutory law over new statutory law.

I am conscious that I am making a serious allegation and I have therefore included with this letter the relevant section of the applicable law, so that you can determine if Justice Peter Lyons accepted an argument that the 1978 Town plan superseded the new 1987 City of Brisbane Town plan.

If my claim is correct, I believe the integrity of our justice system is at stake. I have referred the matter to the CCC and their response is that they “Do not respond at all” Having exhausted all other avenues, I have now turned to you as ultimate custodians of our justice system – this unprecedented incident may well need to be addressed in parliament.

My request is simple: please verify if my allegation is correct.

If not, would you please writeme a short and honest explanation why my claim is false?

If true, how should this situation be rectified?
